It’s been weeks since I’ve posted on my blog, and I don’t feel the greatest about it. However, it’s been a necessary lull in my writing life, plus, having little to no access to a computer is a semi-good excuse, as well.
I’m not really here to make excuses, though. I’m writing this on my phone and I suppose I could’ve done that this whole time if I had really wanted to. But I haven’t, up until now. I’m in the most remote area of the Philippines I’ve visited since arriving here about 3 weeks ago, so I guess it’s kind of ironic that this is where I’m making the post. I’m also not really here to write about the Philippines, at least not yet. That will come in a short time and it will come at an exponentially more consistent rate than my travel writings have come in recent time.
What I’m really here to say is that I haven’t disappeared and I haven’t given up on blogging, or writing in general. I’ve just needed some time to reflect on why I’ve been doing this at all, what I’m getting out of it, and what my small but growing audience will get out of it. A whole hell of a lot, I hope.
I have been posting updates and visual media via Facebook, so if you haven’t checked out my page yet, please feel free to do so, there are a lot of pics and vids from this amazing Philippines trip I’ve embarked on and which is coming to and end in about 8 or 9 days.
I do promise plenty more content, increasing quality in said content, and a great deal more passion and ambition. Stay tuned for more, I can’t wait to jump back on this blogging train when I’m back at my desk, refreshed and rejuvenated for the days, weeks, months, and years to come. A turning point has been reached…
For now, this is my setting, this is my peace…and I don’t edit or filter any of my photos.
